GBSA’s Subcommittees have as their missions:
Investor Relations and Development Subcommittee
Establish and promote best practices for bond and sukuk investor relations with participation of corporate issuers in the region. Participate in national and regional initiatives to develop a deeper and wider investor base, especially among institutions.
Trading Subcommittee
Develop policies and initiatives on secondary market trading in fixed income instruments issued from the region, conventional and sharia compliant, with the aim of maximizing liquidity and transparency.
Regulatory Affairs Subcommittee
Lead activity related to improved regulation of and practices in the GCC fixed income markets. Act as consultative partner to national regulators and GCC initiatives leading to sounder, more transparent and harmonized markets.
Government Issuance Subcommittee
Support the development of harmonized domestic currency government debt markets, conventional and sharia’ compliant, in order to create risk-free yield curves in GCC states.
